Okonomiyaki
In this class, we will make Okonomiyaki with two special sauces. Okonomiyaki is a favorite Japanese street food typically made with eggs, but we will be making it whole food, plant based (vegan) without eggs or vegan egg substitutes. The name comes from two Japanese phrases with “Okonomi” meaning “what you like”, and “Yaki” meaning grilled. The dish is basically a cabbage pancake that includes whatever other ingredients you like. In Japan the dish usually includes some type of seafood and strips of pork, but we will replace the seafood with sea vegetables and the pork with mushrooms.

This dish is simple to prepare, and the sauces can be made in advance or while the okonomiyaki is cooking.
We look forward to seeing you on Sunday!
