As a society, we Americans have accepted the fact that people become ill as they age. Many people struggle with weight gain following their teenage years.
As we age there is the possibility of developing issues with several common diseases, including cholesterol, Type 2 Diabetes, hypertension,
and as people sometimes softly and fearfully whisper in conversation “cancer”.
Watching television, surfing the internet, and reading popular magazines in today's world results in a constant reminder of how medicine can help resolve our
health issues and how “diets” and special medical procedures can remove unwanted fat. What many people don't realize is that certain lifestyle changes can reduce or
possibly even eliminate the need for many of these medications and diet plans.
Some of us have a strong enough will power to make and sustain lifestyle changes that can improve our health. There are other people that
need a little help along the way, a coach, a teacher, a partner, and a network of people that can keep them motivated and excited to stay on track.
